yet another connection issue
 

I tried the ISP block fix but that didnt work. Everything else connects just fine except LW. I dont think its my ISP blocking it becuase I tried the fix and it still wouldnt connnect......I have DSL.

I have dsl too and I cant get anything to work, it says im sharing all my files, but i cant get any further than "connecting"

yeah rite on me to I have had this for e few days and every thing was cool.It was doun loading at tubo speed and at exilent speed and the bars were all green all the time now there all red and no conection with or without the fire wall on and the fire wall setings are in tune with Gnutella or whatever the hell it is .What a bumer I have XP and am aol.It was working cool now it's crapola. I sent a email in to lime wire for some help I hope they can help my computer retarded ***.

Make a note of your settings & then Try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Fixes for Limewire

I nurned off my computer last night .And this morning when i turned it on and that little series of lime wire widows poped up that ask you your preferances and setings and it esk you to enable a conection through the fire wall.So I did all that crap then loged on and now it's pumping them out like a dream.Now I wonder If any of you nice folks could tell me how many things I should be dounloading at once I have it set at 10 now but if I could go higher I would.My computer is 80GB 512MB and a teliphone line modem.I think my dang greedy AOL was mesing every thing up.

Yep heard of problems with AOL before. So you have dial up service which I presume is 56 kbps which equates to about 5-7 KB/s in practice. I wouldn't attempt to downld too many at once. But great news you finally got it going again! Congratulations! ;)

I posted this morning saying that it was working fine .But the post seems to have dissaperd.Whats up with that.Now the bars it the left hand corner are red again and it says not conected it is wered though because it is still dounloading fine I just can't serch for new files.When i go to serch for a new file a window pops up and says not conected.but like i said it is dounloading as we speak:confused: If my post has been moved by the moderator could you please email me so I can keep track of that bad boy.I am posting in this thred because we all seem to be in the same boat with this thing, and wats the point of starting another one in the thousand allready threads on this same problem"can't connect"Thank you for any replys super smart computer gods:)

I certainly didn't see it & according to your post tally, you've only posted 3 times then all your posts in this thread are your total. I wasn't around at that time AFAIK.

When lime wire says its connecting the lights on my router flash a little (slower then usual speed) but still wont connect
