Don't know but you're not going to find out unless you provide some details. Did you remember to turn everything on. lol :D

1. (a) Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www.grc.com/port_6346.htm (Press Probe this port button) Does it say open or closed?

Can you give us a total desciption of your set up:
1. (b) OS version? (eg: Windows 98)
2. What firewalls you have?
3. ram?
4. Hard Disk space available?
5. Connection type? (eg: dialup, broadband, cable, etc.)
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers?
7. Where are you trying to connect from (home, school, work, etc.)?
8. What version of Limewire (LW) & Java do you have? (Go to LW's menu Help>About LW...) Will show both LW & Java version.
9. Who is your isp provider?
10. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user.
11. Do you use the Resume/Find SOurces button on all your files? If yes this could be part of your problem.

what does it mean when it says that my port is stealth?

I'm finding this whole situation ridiculous. I've downloaded 3 p2p clients and 2 bit torrent clients and can't get a connection to any of them. It's unbelievable because last week I was getting turbocharged connections on LW constantly and connected within seconds. Can anyone help at all...I will provide any info needed.

anarchyskater88 it sounds like a hardware issue or an isp issue. If port 6346 is closed then it's no wonder you can't connect. The fact it's just happened past few days suggests something's been changed either on your system, hardware or isp. Yes some isp's will block ports if they're trying to curb p2p use. Most Linksys routers use UPnP so 'should' be safe there but could be your other hardware ... perhaps port forwarding required not sure.

Try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Fixes for Limewire This is a simple fix though might not fix your problem. If not, go back to the port test site & test some other ports you might be able to use; eg: port 6405, or 5303, or 3530 or even 80. Once an open port is found then go Tools>Options>Advanced>Firewalls & change listening port to that new port no. May need to re-open LW for it to take effect.

japes we're still looking at your issue. Did you see et's response to your other post.
