Newly downloaded Limewire not working

Forgot to mention that I tried that test link and it says "you are working" or such like.

You need to hit your settings ICON and shut off your windows firewall. Then reboot your machine and try again.

If that fails you will need to go to a "port settings" help page online. It will tell you to set a port in windows then you set it in Limewire.

Very easy....try it and let me know if it works

A couple of weeks later and things are going great. The problem was the Norton Anit Virus which came free for 60 days with the new computer. I went into Norton and saw that Limewire was blocked. This solved all problems and my friends are now happily up and running. Thanks to Fabion and John for all your help.

How did you check Norton to see if Limewire was blocked?
