W32.Acan worm
 

Hi my name is mikie, i installed limewire and the other nite i noticed that when i shut lime wire down and exit the program,
five miniutes latter the program limewire will start on its own automaticly..
i have detected a worm that is weel known for being transmited thru P2P file networks , however the virus was cleaned it refuses to leave my pc ..
now i can not use lime wire becuse even tho i exit the limewire program, it refuses to stay shut down and will restart its self on it own.
the virus is known as w32.Acan
if any one has any idea on a fix or the reasons behind this please pm me or respond to this thread.

I just had the same thing happen. What i did was i downloaded Ad-aware the free version and i did a full test. when it detected all of the bad things on my computer i checked everything and deleted it. Now i dont have any problems so maybe this will work for you

i did that too with the ad-aware thing but its still doing it
