cannot connect
 

I currently have Windows XP and am using Limewire with a dialup internet connection. I configured Windows XP Firewall to the Limewire firewall settings. When I start Limewire I get about 5 to 10 minutes of an "Excellent" connection. The connection then falls to "Good" for a few mintues, then to "Fair", and so on until I get disconnected and a reminder box pops up to tell me. From there I try to reconnect but usually never get a connection from that point. I have read about deleting the preferences in the Limewire directory and have done so. But yet I still do not have a reliable connection. Since I do not have a fast internet connection, I usually leave my computer connected to the internet and Limewire running to download everything I need throughout the night. This cannot be accomplished due to my connection situation. Please Help. Any advice or ideas are greatly appreciated.

Are you sure you properly configured your firewall? Whilst your LW is properly connected, do this test: Bug Report instructions & sample image Is the result True/False? If false then something's at least partially blocking LW's access.
