How to limit the download speed?

how i really limit my download speed?? i am using cable. i went to option/download/download bandwidth then i move the slider to 43.31 KB/s and it said 100%. so i click apply and the download still went over 75KB. i play WoW sometime and Limewire tend to leech the bandwidth too much and cause me to lose connection with WoW. I play Wow on this computer, Limewire is on other computer. all the computer is connected to router. how i limit really limit the speed to less than 50 KB?

If the speed settings don't suit you then change to another that does. I use bottom end broadband but I have mine set to modem so it gives me more upld control.

Here's the official speeds for the options within LW: 1. What speeds are T1/T3, etc. for LW
2. More on LW connection speeds
