| Connection Problems Problems getting the LimeWire or WireShare program connecting to the Gnutella network.

 Are you aware Cox is known for blocking or filtering LW speeds/connections: ISP's known to BLOCK or Filter p2p or specifically Limewire I can only work with the info you've provided. You failed to answer some of the questions about connection devices. Try another port number. Go to LW's preferences >Advanced>Firewalls & change the listening port to another like 1203, 80, 20282, 443 (don't forget to press apply after each one.) And after changing it for each one, go to File>Connect or disconnect & wait a min, then connect. Give each one at least 15 mins to try to connect. This is in case Cox is filtering particular ports.  |
