Connection problem solved
I was having the same problem as everyone else...things were working fine and then suddenly **NOTHING** Couldn't get a connection to save my life.
I've been poking around the 'net and I have found answers. Yes, answers my friends! It appears the source of the problem is the hosts which Limewire (or likely any other gnutella client) attempts to connect to. I stumbled across this "tracker" page: http://www.gnufrog.com/ It provides an updated listing of working hosts. The first entry I tried worked like a charm. Use any one of the listed hosts in your 'connections' tab. Enjoy! |
THANKS...Solved my problem too!!!

you are one nice human. Thanks.

thanx...good work

Your suggestion sounds great. I found the web site you suggested easily, but when I tried to apply some of the listed hosts, nothing happened. I punched the new host into the "auto-connect hosts" field and nothing happened. I punched the new host into the "connected hosts" and nothing happened. What am I doing wrong? As of this minute I have a file downloading from the last time I was able to connect, yet I cannot perform searches and LimeWire is listed as unconnected and I see a red dot. What's going on? Any help is greatly appreciated.
