Default D/Ling AS DISCONNECTED

I got tired of running only a fair connection so I disconnected. I have LimeWire 4.9.11. I am running as an UltraPeer with no other connections. I am still d/ling in the 100 kb/s range. Been running for about an hour this away. I guess this would show a true connection because I am still showing 18 uploads and 10 in the queue pocket. So I quess disconnect doesn't really mean anything.

Hmm that's interesting. I wonder if it's tied in with your settings for closing down LW; ie: shutdown only after present downlds/uplds are complete.

I wasn't aware of this. I am aware you can search before LW is fully connected.

Nope. LimeWire is supposed to shutdown upon disconnect. I am going to leave it run in this mode and see how long it lasts. It is now 08:29 DST (US) 2 August 05. And if I shut the LimeWire program down, deny access to the internet, I find that my router is still getting hammered and I am still uploading. Seems, as though, I have no more control on my own LimeWire preferences. The only true way I have found to shutoff Limewire is to change my settings in the router, EZ firewall, and Windows Firewall.

Folks, Here it is 6:04 PM DST (US). I am still disconnected via the upper toolbar settings. B U T I am still running as an UltraPeer A N D (hold onto your socks) am running at 500 to 653 kb/s!!!! Once I connect to IE to come to this forum it slowed back down. SO, I can get all my downloads as a permanant UltraPeer and never have to hook up to the active structure. Oh, yeah, I have 35 active downloads B]EACH[/B] amounting to several hundred mbs, and 19 active uploads with 10 minimum waiting (queued).

How is this possible??
