no active internet or firewall is blocked
 

I'm using Windows 98SE and a wireless internet access (Actiontec GT701WG). When I try to connect manually I get a message that says "machine does not have an active internet or firewall is blocking". Any idea of how I can determine which one it is?

Check your windows settings under network to make sure you are connected to the internet. Are you using a firewall? if so, turn it off while you download. Then go to your Limewire settings and make sure to check if you are hiding behind a firewall or not. You may have to turn it off and turn it back on after you are done downloading.
