cannot download or upload....

Hi I have had limewire installed for some time now and have had no problems. This last few weeks tho, it connects to the net but nothing happens. Even whats new does not download. Have checked all 6346 settings etc but then again, I changed nothing on limewire. Have lately installed panda platinum but have made sure that limewire is allowed through. Would be grateful for any help proferred.

what operating system do you use? are you in windows? do you have a firewall? have you checked your network connections to make sure you are online when in Limewire? if behind a firewall, try turning it off while downloading.

problems downloading and uploading

I have windows xp pro. I have panda platinum installed but I have the firewall set to allow limewire and even when I turn panda off I still have the same problem.

There seems to be a growing number of us that have this new download problem. Many fo whom have postedtheir problem under the problem description. And, if a readeer does not have the problem, they aren't opening the post to see that other folks could use some coaching.

LW opens and cinfirms the network connection.. the search tool continues to be very robust. Yet when requesting a down load..ada... nyet.. nutin' !!!

If firewall was an issue, having the same firewall as last week would not cause the problem. So, something has changed... btw, if nothing else for additional info, I am on Comcast..

did you click no to the license question? if so, did you tick always use this answer? if yes, then search the forum for this question about license question.

@ Joe McAllen:

your ISP may be filtering p2p technology. you also may be having trouble with your firewall or router. try port forwarding.
