Limewire hangs

Connection Problems Problems getting the LimeWire or WireShare program connecting to the Gnutella network. (not about connecting to files, that is a Download/Upload Problems section issue.) Please supply system details as described in the forum rules.

I also get the same message since updating. "Loading User Interface" I left it on for 2 hours to see if it needed time to start up and it never moved from that message. I also brang the task manager up to see if I could end the program but it wasn't in the box of programs running. So it stays on the desktop and I have to shut my PC down to clear it. Limewire worked perfectly before I updated.

1. i'm running Windows XP no service packs
2. i don't have windows firewall activated, but i do have Mcaffe firewall which says Limewire has been allowed to access the net.
3. 512mb ram
4. 65.4 GB available
5. broadband
6.asdl BT voyage 105 modem
7. connecting from home
8. LW 4.9.23, java 1.5.0_03
9. AOL
10. no sharing connections
11. I have used limewire for about a year with no problems.
