Help needed badly
 

I am having trouble connecting to the new version of limewire it keeps telling me that it was unable to initialize and start and that it is usually due to a firewall program blocking access to internet or loopback connections on the local machine, please allow limwire access to the internet and restart,
I only have a basic knowledge when it comes to computers but enough to get by and i have done what the limewire site said to do with firewalls but the same thing happens and i am stuck.
I didn't have this problem with the earlier version of limewire. Any help/ideas would be greatly appreciated.

By new version which one do you mean? A new version was just released today (LW 4.9.26)
Try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Fixes for Limewire (sample images at bottom of that thread.)

Thanks heaps i went through the limewire fixes one by one and it works now, not exactly sure which one fixed it but think it was the java dload, the version i downloaded is 4.9.26 and it's been here for about a week ( give or take ) anyway thanks again i probably would of given it up as a bad joke sooner or later, my patience with comp glitches is rather short. while I'm at it how do i get my appearence changed from being junior user whilst it is flattering in some respects it has been a while since i have been called junior.
