help!!! it just wont work

i have downloaded LW 3 times now and it justwont work for me!!!
the first time teh only prob was it wouldnt connect all teh way (only 1 green bar) so i updated my java and redownloaded LW.
i now have the latest version of java that that isn't a prob.

the next time i downloaded, the firewall was an issue. previously i had bypassed the firewall like it says in hte help section and it worked. time it didn't. i then got a message saying that the download was corrupt...so i deleated and downloaded again*sigh

on another forum, it said to make the program compatable with windows 2000..i tried that and it failed...(i have win XP)

this time (hopefully the last)the firewall is still an issue...it is all set up like it should be...and LW still isn't connecting all the way.

all 3 of my room mates have the same win/java/LW versions and they are not having a prob....Y MEE?????
please help!!!


within 1/2 hor or redownloading lw my comp crashed twice...i would like some answers b4 i try again...
everyone else i know in res has limewire and they dont have these problems....
