Default Help!!! limewire does not connect

this is the deal, im at my office, im connected to another computer(SERVER) which is connected to the net. limewire is not working on my machine. i tried everything tht i cud find on this forum. bot nothing has worked. and i dont kno if this info will help u solve my problem, but in my IE in the LAN option i have a proxy setted up, and the proxy is 192.168.0.2 and port 8080.

plzzz help!!

Looks like your next step is decide whether to talk with the office network folks and ask if they allow filesharing. Sounds like they have their network set up to explicitly stop filesharing, so maybe you shouldn't even ask.

nah, kazaa ares and other file sharing apps work perfectly fine

well, then maybe it's a java problem, but figured you tried everything posted already. Do you run any other java apps?

nope, have the latest version of Java and LM and the machine is like 3 weeks old wit WinXP SP2, basically theres quite a few apps installed on this machine and they dont require java

heh--you NEED java to run LimeWire and apps like Azureus http://azureus.sourceforge.net/
