Too much connection
 

I guess this would be considered a connection problem. Sorry ifd I've placed it in the wrong category.

Anyway, I downloaded this file about half an hour ago, found out it wouldn't play and deleted it. Now Limewire magically begins to start up every single time I shut it down.

Have I been pegged by a virus or something? I would much appreciate any help anyone could give me!

Yes it definitely sounds like a virus:(. Update your anti-virus and scan your pc. Here's a link to a related thread:Limewire Acting Wierd
If you read through that thread it has some links to free av programs that are supposed to be able to remove that virus:)

You might want to try this: ewido security suite d/l the free one ,it's supposed to be able to remove the virus.

But I've never tried it so use your own discrection.
