Newbie Needs Help On Connection

Tried the beta version of basic and still get unable to initialize and start. Have opened ports, dropped firewalls, done all I could and it still fails.
I give this one more day.....I don't have 20-30 hrs to fix problems that should not exist for users.
THX,
Roo

Oh! Perhaps you'd have enough time to post in the correct section of the forum next time & search for your answer & look at the Stickies to find where "your" problem is. Sorry I don't have time to post 10 questions to ask all your details so I might be able to see where your problem is. I mean, are we suppose to guess. Forum Rules (click here)
(This thread is being moved out of the beta section & into the Connection problems section.)

REPLY 2 LORD OF RINGS

The connections forum is where I spent my first two days trying to find help. I tried everything and that means anything that could get me help. That is where my first message was placed. So these 2 messages will merge into one forum. This one was in beta because I tried it hoping to get resolution to problem. It did not work. Maybe others would like to know beta fails to fix their problem also! I found it interesting that one of Limeware own people admit to problems in the connections forum. That's just not good business.
I find it very interesting that I could only get into Limeware only one time then closed out. If they were only offering a trial basis to Pro version should just say so.
Don't you think spending two days of ALL your spare time trying to fix a problem that appears to be in the software or lack of proper instruction is not worth it. So I was in the right place at the right time.
I hope someone is able to help me get this going and not be critical without knowing the facts!

Trial basis lol :D Limewire is FREE!!! lol LW Basic is free & people are expected to use Basic to sort out any issues before considering getting pro.

See for yourself: http://www.limewire.com/english/content/download.shtml

The beta section is for issues with new beta program releases.

FOR LORD

I know but I keep all options open. I was probably tinkering with puters b4 u got outta diapers. So I notified admins of your lack of help and harassment.
Thank you and goodbye and goodbye to limeware.

Oops you pissed him off guess he didn't learn to much while he was tinkering with those putters b4 you were out of diapers.

It is amazing how so many people who think they know so much know so little.

yeah, do a search here and you won't find too much help, but you did you bother going to your gnutella.net file and modify it? I posted on here the other day about that. I don't know if the new version has it, but an older version has a place inside the program to add a gnutella connection. Somewhere in your 20 to 30 hours of tinkering, you should have come across that.

Oh yeah, I experimented a little on the school network and I loaded up the latest version of limewire and let it run just to see how long it would take to find a peer without adding any hosts. It took more than 8 hours, less than 20 hours.

Maybe I will do some more experimenting and get back to you with the results.

Want limewire to work quickly? Add hosts, easy and simple.

I love these newbies. Not find help eh? Maybe, Just maybe if you noobs would take the time to read a forum sticky, you'd find your answers. I have used basic for a long time and have never had these so called problems that you noobs are having. Cant you people read? Takes two minutes to read a forum sticky. and, if you still cant figure it out then do us all a favor and go install Bearshare. and forget Limewire becaue 90 percent of you noobs havent got a clue as to what you are doing on P2P. so, instead of insulting members/users go read first and educate yourself before you get bentout of shape but, you're right, no help here.

It is because people don't understand networks, they just want to get content. One of the more fun things to do on Limewire is to do a document search for ssn or 1040 or anything else likely to have personal information. You can pull up all manner of personal information. And if it aint good enough, you can then browse what they have shared and find out a lot about their secret tastes. Why? Because people are ignorant.
