Can't Connect

I just upgraded to PRO and I've been waiting for 3 days for a connection. I believe I have the Ports set up correctly. I'm running XP. I have tried to find my preferences dir to delete it. But My .limewire folder doesn't have that Dir. Is there a number I can call for set up help?

Pro support is email only (and whatever help you can find from other users here, of course).

here's the support page link http://www.limewire.com/english/content/support.shtml

However, I'd guess the first thing they'd want to know is if the Free was able to connect, since LW Pro doesn't give any connection advantages.

Thanks

THanks,

I've been doing a lot of reading. Nothing I've tried has worked. I did download and install the SP2, and followed the advice to add ports for 6346. Nothing is working. Before I downloaded Pro, I could connect everyonce in a while. Limewire shows I'm still behind a Firewall even though I'm at home. I've even tried disableing the fire walls. What could I be missing?

Wish I could help more, but I'm on a Mac.

If you've already tried the links Lord of the Rings has organised in the stickys, it might be worth checking with your ISP just to make sure they aren't blocking or filtering connections to the gnutella network.

Here's another check: see if you can download a file from http://www.magnetmix.com/audio2.shtml (they are free and legal for sharing). As long as LW is running, you don't even need to be connected to the network to download those files. Because they use the gnutella network to connect to your machine, they provide a bit more info about your connectability, and are good test case to use when contacting your Internet Service Provider's help desk.
