Fully Connected, however...

Im getting full searches with 300+ results....however when I go to download something, it isnt getting but 4-10 KB p/ second, and some files that have 18+ hosts I cant even connect to.....Im on a DSL connection (school, probably a T1, but its slow when everyone is on it...) so what is the issue, I looked for a thread about this with no success, help!!!

Most schools now block or filter p2p sharing! Here's an example of how a p2p bandwidth shaper can work against Gnutella: Bandwidth Shaper Sample - typical of how some Schools/ISP's use it (click on link) ie: giving priority to net surfing & low priorities to p2p sharing. Here's an example of such a filter: http://www.sandvine.com/products/p2p_element.asp
http://www.ipp2p.org/docu_en.html or these as some of many others:

hmmm interesting....I appreciate that, but at the same time, I was getting much faster results and downloads last week this time, and unless they installed this over thanksgiving, I dont know why it would be different now...also is there any way to get around that?

thanks again!

::edit:: also there are some songs that download quickly but there are other songs that I downloaded at home that dont download quickly at all!

I'm not sure then. Try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Point #2 in Fixes for Limewire (sample at bottom of page.)

You could also try Tip: Purge the Downloads Queue!
