low connectivity

hi my kids live bout 80 miles away & have bought upgraded version of limewire but have no broadband access. They tell me that when they go into limewire they keep being told they have no connection or low connection I told them to contact someone on the site as i thought that by upgrading you actually got technical support. I have not upgraded cos I have broadband and do not seem to have problems this is bit complicated as i cant actually see their computer!! All i need is either a contact e-mail or phone number near 2 ireland would appreciate any help. thanks

If your kids have pro then they can get pro support. Tell them to go to http://www.limewire.com/english/content/support.shtml & enter their email they bought pro with to get help.

If your kids don't have broadband then what type of connection do they have? If it's dial up, then that doesn't offer much bandwidth anyway & so they need to be careful about how they use LW. Without details & specifications of their computer, etc. it's hard to offer advice.

thanks for the site address gave it to my daughter and she is waiting reply. Yes they have dial up connection, live in very remote area and broadband not available. Have latest dell laptop with 1gb memory and high processor using wireless connection bit difficult to help them when not actually there but i introduced them to limewire so apparently its my problem!!

Wireless connections have a tendency to have NAT Firewalls. In most cases this shouldn't affect downlding but sometimes can. It would certainly affect uploading & chances of direct connecting, etc.
