Please Help. PLUS.NET Connection Probs
 

I am a complete novice to all this.
I paid my 30 odd quid for a years LW use just today and only now do I find out that I don't appear to be able to use it.
My system is:
Win XP
Zone Alarm Firewall
1 Gb Ram
40 Gb HD space
Broadband
Zoom ADSL USB 5510 Modem
Home Connection
Latest LW version and Java
Plus Net ISP

I have spent hours reading other posts about connection and found several refs to Plus Net.
I have tried many of the recommended solutions to no avail.

I am completely gutted by this and have lost all hope that I will be able to make LW work for me.

Apart from changing my ISP what can I try now?
Is it worth me asking for a refund of my £30.00 from Lime Wire as I didn't see a warning that this might not work with some ISP's when I signed up or is that just my problem??

Buy the way I have tried all the solutions with Firewall on and configured correctly and I have also turned my firewall off completely.

Tiscali p2p??
 

I have had a response from Plus Net.
"Your current package with us does not support p2p.
Please upgrade to a premier package at only £21.99 a month"

I can join Tiscali for £21.99 a month & I can get 2meg broadband and all landline phone calls 24/7 inclusive.

Does anyone know if Tiscali will accept p2p?

I have asked Plus Net to upgrade me for free seeing as I've been with them for like 5 years or so.

What a load of BO**OCKS
