ATTENTION: Everyone...This Just IN

OK...Well It's OFFICIAL!!!!

It Is OOL That Is Causing the P2P Block from Users.

I just got off the phone with Cablevision after recieving a phone call from them asking if my Recent Issue was Resolved.

It seems that it's not just Long Island but the Whole Tri-State Area and Jersey that's affected by this issue.

Cablevision has ADMITTED that the Problem with subscribers not being able to Download from P2P Peer Programs is a Known Problem from THEIR END.

They say that they have known about the issue since December 12th and that their Engineers are currently working on the problem.

They were not able to give any date as to when this issue will be resolved.

So know we know for Certain that it is OOL and they ARE aware of the problem and are working on a solution.

Hopefully they will have this issue resolved soon

Optimum OnLine is a Cable Internet Service Provider.

Just like Verizon or ComCast .

I use Optimum OnLine to get on the Internet /
Optimum Voice for my Phone Line and
Optimum Digital Cable for my TV

whitezeo December 15th, 2005 12:00 PM

ummmmm yea i think i made that official like 2 days ago mysic wolf just seems like people are ignoring me SINCE I WORK FOR OOL!!

whitezeo December 15th, 2005 12:06 PM

by the way the reason im upset about it is cause i was trying to help u guys in understanding ool knows there is a problem and is working on it to save you all some t rouble in thinking its ur firewalls or settings..but you guys were all complaining and complaining and complaining, me as a limewire user is too upset about this situation but nothing we can do about it. OOL is doing upgrades to give liers higher speeds and something must have happened to some ports on certain nodes that are blocking us from using p2p networks.

It's not that I don't believe you whitezero

I was just trying to figure out if it really was OOL or something else.

You work for OOL...well so does another user on here, and they had said that it was NOT OOL causing the problem.

I guess they don't know that it really is OOL.

People kept telling me that is was my Firewall...which I don't have...that was causing the problem.

Another reason for questioning if it was OOL...was that everytime I tried to either Chat with or call OOL customer service...they said it was not them.

My Limewire is working again how about everyone else? Its back to turbocharged connection. Came back on its own. Let me know.

Because people at optimum dont' know what was going on..its just a call center, they tell us if there is a problem or not and just tells us if its pending or updated. So its not the callc enters fault by telling you those things..if i was at work and wasn't sick at this time and got those phone calls i would probably be saying the same thing but also i would let you know like i am on here that there has been updates to optimum and that is probably what happened like i explained before i wouldn't leave the customer hanging with its not us see ya later. Also let me know how everyone is doing with limewire...
