Default 4.10 connection problems w/firewall

I have McAfee firewall and I'm behind a Linksys wireless router (Windows XP). I downloaded 4.10 and now Limewire says that I do not have an "active internet connection or im behind a firewall." My firewall is set to allow Limewire so I dont know what the problem is. any ideas?

*it goes really slow*

Make sure UPnP is activated on your Linksys device. See Linksys UPnP setting (click on link)

Then try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Point #2 in Fixes for Limewire (sample at bottom of page.)

Then try connecting again! Give it plenty of time to connect.

Grandpa,
He/she has a Linskys WRT 54G router. I've asked that he/she check their post to get your advice.
