can anyone help me with my COX connection?

I am a little computer illiterate compared to some of you I'm sure, but I'm hoping that one of you will be willing to help me. I have recently swiitched from AOL to Cox communications and I live in Northern CA and have Windows XP if that helps. My LW works fine with my AOL connection (which I still have for another 15 days or so) but will not work with COX. I've tried reconfiguring my firewall, using a proxy, uninstaling LW and reinstalling......I'm at a loss! PLEASE HELP!!

Thanks
Tina

Have a look at ISP's known to BLOCK or Filter p2p or specifically Limewire & consider alternative ISP's to join. I think Cox might not be the wisest choice. They might have fast speeds, ... but they only want people who browse using those speeds, not p2p users ... thus the bandwidth is never used up.
