I dont disconnect but when open shows 'disconnected'
 

Hi there, very frustrated. have limewire open, connect it, it goes swimingly. I leave open, not reduced and then carry on with other things on computer. When I go back to limewire, it shows 'disconnected'

Please tell us which platform and OS you are using ... also which version of
Limewire like 4.**.**

Using windows XP for home users and LW 4.9, I think. Not at home right now but at the office.

im having that same problem, the limewire is connected but when i open again it shows disconnected, and this happens on and on, even if i keep saying connect, whats wrong??? pleaseee help me. i have limewire 4.10.5 and a connection of 115,2 kbps and using windows xp home edition :( :( :( :( :( :( :(

I have the same problem. I tried deleting the preferences folder as directed, but the problem still occurs(it seems like LW made a new folder, too). I'm running LW 4.10.0. Also, when LW disconnects itself, it also disables my wireless connection. The computer can no longer recognize the wireless card. I have to resart the computer to fix it. PLEASE help. This is starting to **** me off.

Same problem here.
I am using Limewire 4.10.5 Pro, Java 1.5.0_06, Windows XP, broadband cable.
If I leave the computer unattended, after a couple of hours, there would be an error message saying that I don't seem to have an internet connection (when it is not so) and my LW would show that it's disconnected. My Norton System Doctor dashboard would be showing 100% CPU activity.
