![]() After spending numerous hours reading through all the posts and "solutions" to a mulitude of connection issues, I have yet to come across a "problem" like the one I'm experiencing. My problem is not that I can't connect, but maintaining that connection. On start up, I manually connect to the network (pausing all previous d/ls) and I then get a great connection ie: anywhere from Good to Turbo charged. Searches come up fine with lots of results but my problem begins the instant I begin a download. Once a d/l begins my network connections start dropping off rapidly (Usually starts at 5 Ultrapeer or 20+ Peer connections) and I then lose them all in a matter of minutes to the point where the connection restarts or I am disconnected. I noticed this happened after upgrading from LW 4.9.3 Pro to 4.10.x Pro. Previous versions did not have this issue. I have since deleted all files retaining to LW and then reinstalled my 4.9.x version. only twice since then have I been able to access the network "normally" and have multiple d/ls going with good speeds and connections ie: 12 d/l @ 200-300 kb/s. Now the Normal seems to be 1-2 d/l @ 2-24 kb/s, if I'm lucky. And before I get asked the "cookie cutter" questions... Yes my router is configured properly, no I dont use windows firewall, Yes I have the latest version of Java, no my ISP doesn't block P2P, Bandwidth is not an issue, yes all the "tests" posted here http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...threadid=51357 work fine. Thx in advance. ![]() PS; I've also noticed under the "connections" tab I dont stay connected to any one comp for more than 2-5 mins. Last edited by Sylvas; January 28th, 2006 at 03:00 PM. |

![]() Hi Sylvas, Have you tried deleting your LW preferences since installing your older version? Instructions here: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...threadid=36420 (Just remember to have LW fully closed before you delete prefs. You'll have to go & re-set your prefs within tools > options) ![]() |

I noticed my LAN card was the same as his. I checked my driver (was an old release) and updated, but unlike him, I didn't get any change. |
