Turn off a firewall

I followed the process that was posted on the website to type in gnutella and the IP address. but the firewall would never come off of limewire, and whenever i go back to see if everything was the same as I typed it on the windows firewall program. the ip address is always changed to another ip address. what do i do?

Hi BIG slim,
Did you configure your firewall using the instructions in this thread?
http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...threadid=51357

Don't have 2 firewalls running, they'll interfere with each other. Many modems/routers have their own internal firewall & that might be a problem. So for now, read back through the thread & configure your firewall. Then read the info about UPnP. If your router uses UPnP, you'll have to have it enabled within the device & also within LW (tools > options > advanced > firewall config. Tick 'use UPnP & then apply).
