Limewire connection/email
 
My system crashed and all programs were erased. I just got Limewire 11/02/05 and need to reinstall it but when I go to customer support and enter my email address Limewire doesn't regonize it. I have membership confirmation and order ID#if necessary. My question is how do I contact support if it doesn't recognize me?

I'm not sure if you purchased LW 2nd November or 11th February. If the latter Limewire pro purchase is only valid for 6 months.

If the earlier, try updating via your personal download oage. The link is in an e-mail you recieved when you purchased.

Last question ... if none of this helps. How much, exactly, did you pay for LW?

LW offers pro updates for 6 months. So after 6 months, you will be offered to recontinue with pro at a discount amount. If not accepted, then your name will be removed from their database. It is specified support & free updates are only offered for 6 mths. This is similar to all other online (& offline) purchases for software. I did forget about the month date thingy... in USA they put the month at the beginning.

If you bought it in November last year, then check your receipt as it will have a phone number you can contact customer support.

Thanks for the information. It was November of 2005 when I had purchased Limewire. So it was just a couple of months ago.

I have tried updating my personal download page from link in my email I recieved when I purchased. This is the web site and it doesn't work. Can not find server

Sorry to say you bought Limewire from a scam site. so any issues you have must be taken up with them. Limewire support will not recognise your e-mail address.

fwiw ... Thes sites tend to supply basic versions at huge profit to themselves and with no sevice etc. So if you go to www.limewire.com you will be able to download the basic version free of charge. This will probably be better than the version you "purchased"
