another lw fiasco can anyone help me!!!
 
i have configureed my firewall, i have deleted my preferences, ihave read endless threads that do not seem to help i am using

windows xp sp/2
512 ram

the firewall icon shows the wall present but all i get is starting connection then "you do not have a connection" box opens even though i am when i upgraded to 4.9 from 4.8 i had the same trouble eventually through different versions 4.9.37 worked not as quick as i used to get but satisfactory now upgrading to 4.10 and spent a week reading threads trying differing configures i am now peeved with lw and will no longer pay to upgrade to pro when i get the same service using the free version can ANYONE help me please!!!! dont get to technical without explaining cos i can do it if i understand

Do you have a router?

Are you on a Network?

Who is your isp?

Please give details if any answers are yes.:)

hi no router or network

isp talktalk broadband been with them a year and the old 4.9 worked
hope you can help

I suspect talk talk may have something to do with this.

This might be your problem, Talk Talk are not, it seems, very freindly to p2p

otherwise let us know and someone might be able to check you have everything set up correctly:)

hi thanks hobo looks like a change of isp is needed i will double check with talktalk but reading the thread i dont hold out much hope, the cinical thing is its 1am in uk and at midnight my download speed was 0-1kps with a good connection and now its over 100 turbo charged i dont download much but obviously too much for talktalk.


i am so sure this is the problem, my apologies to lw and i will get back to let you all know

fwiw Tesco do a good Broadband deal .. It's really off NTL I think ... Customer service is non existant, but I recomend you take a look:)

I think the brakes are put on manually by these isps and they probably think no idiot will be up at 1 am so they go home and forget about it ... imho
