Default limewire won't stay connected...

After about 5 minutes of using limewire my download speeds will all drop to zero, downloads that start up quickly fall to 0 and eventually I get a message saying I don't have an active internet connection. I contacted my ISP and they say that they don't block P2P programs. Even if I turn off my windows firewall[I have XP sp2] it does the same thing. Can anyone help me with my problem? Thanks.

Actually the magnet site doesn't work. I click on a link to download, limewire pops up and then the same thing happens. Also, once the problem I described starts my whole internet will slow down for about 2-3 minutes after I close limewire.

are On dial up, a classic modem symptom fo rmodems that connect at to high a speed. If you are on dial up try another modem or set your connect speed down and see how long your connection lasts..
