Connection Problems...obviously

Hi there,
My name is Nikki and I'm new on this site. My LimeWire has been giving me problems lately. When I try to search for files, the prgram gives me an error that says limewire is tryingto connect to the network, and will not give me any files until it fully connects. The thing has been trying to connect for two weeks! I cannot figure out whats wrong with it! Any ideas?

Make sure your firewall's set up so that LW can work properly. Don't use 2 firewalls together. If your router uses UPnP, you'll have to turn it on in the router & also in LW (tools > options> advanced > firewall config > tick use UPnP & apply). All this info is in the thread;)

Do the port test & see what result you get. Read through the info about routers & port forwarding, too. Also, make sure your ISP hasn't started to block p2p!
