Don't know if it will help but your driver is out of date the link below has the newest one I could find. I don't know if the driver for your realteck is out of date or not but the second link is for the latest driver for it. The 3rd link is for a patch you can apply to windows to open more connections it raises it from the default 10 to 50 http://members.driverguide.com/drive...riverid=602974 http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/...&Software=True http://www.lvllord.de/?url=tools |
1 Attachment(s) ok, I installed the drivers and the from 10 to 50 connection tcpip, the new driver helped but now it's dropping more frequently and I noticed that when it does the chanel drops from 11 to a different channel, in the picture I attached for one second it dropped to channel 7 and in windows task manager and limewire my connection both dropped to 0, any idea why it's doing that? |
1 Attachment(s) here is what the normal channel looks like when my connection is steady, then it drops, it has an obvious pattern, i just can't figure out what's causing it. |
1 Attachment(s) ok, took the test, it was 1404/338, on wireless, advertised 1500/384. I attatched the tweak results, I might just transfer back to a different limewire, I only really got the problem when I got the new release 4.10.0 and started using my wireless for limewire downloads. |
Try a wire to the modem and to the router for awhile. Dropouts gone? How close are you to any airports or major weather stations? ;] |
well, the broadband link light flashes when the connection drops so I replaced the 2wire 1701hg modem and it still does it, I got from the modem, any ideas? |
Limewire and only limewire does the same thing to me. Using Verizon DSL, completely drops my modem/router connection during some downloads. No internet connections work at all and the modem resets the connection. There is most definitely a problem with Limewire in this regard. |
Do any of you have lots of incomplete files & use the Resume/Find Sources on them all? I'm asking because if this function is applied to all or too many simultaneously, this can cause LW, your computer & devices problems. It can affect communication between the devices & computer, & if you're using UPnP then it of course can affect communication between LW & the device to keep the NAT port open. Just a thought. Maybe doesn't apply in your cases. |
