Blank screen after connection

Hi peeps

I wonder if anyone could help me out on dis 1. I joined limewire back in March2005. Of which then it was working well for me until bout January 2006. It started not showing any results in the search area. I got fed up with it so I deleted everything. I later paid for Limewire Pro' in February 2006. Everything loaded up ok, but each time I double-click on the Limewire Icon, it loads up and then all I see is a blank screen. I have already tried what I saw on 1 of the threads i.e right-clicking on desktop looking for 3D ATI, for some reason I dont have that tab on my properties. Is there anyone else who can help me, or who's had the same problem and solved it?? I have COMPAQ, and its Windows XP, AMD Sempron. . . if dat helps. . . I am so distressed coz I already paid for service and I need new music. I'll be most grateful if any1 offers solutions... Thanx

Beeall

It is most likely a graphics issue to find out what graphics card you have you can go to Start/Control Panel/System/Hardware/Device Manager/Display Adapter it will tell you what graphics card you have. You are on the right track you can right click the desk top and find your display properties you need to set the A/A to application controlled.

Unfortunately I have never heard of your graphics card I did a little search and could not find out much other than it is rarely used I think the quote was and that is a good thing you must have a Acer or a ********. You should be able to right click on the screen and find display then click on that it should take you into the graphics properties. But I do not know about yours. If that doesn't work just try clicking on different things in the pop up box and see where they take you.

OK try a different way go to Start/Control Panel/Display make sure you are using classic view. Click on Settings/Advanced hopefully your graphics card will be listed there.

EDIT

Guess I made that a little more complicated than it needed to be just right click on your desktop then select settings then advanced.
