router hangs when trying to connect

I know this can sound strange, but my USR9105 router hangs and need to be restarted every time I try to launch Limeware.
I've repeated the test a dozen of times, always with the same result: Limewire starts but is not capable to connect to the network, meanwhile the internet connection is gone. Opening a browser page gives "page not found" and the WAN IP led on router starts to go on and off, sometimes eventually remaining off.
Then router needs to be restarted in order to restore normal internet connection.
Did someone experience a similar problem?
(btw the www3.limewire.com:6346 test gives a positive result)

What Network Adapter are you using you may need to update your drivers.

the problem doesn't seem to be related to the network adapter: I've encountered this problem first with a wireless pcmcia adapter and a wireless Belkin router connected to the USR9105, then I've removed all the wireless hardware, and used a wired connection to the USR9105 via the built-in network adapter of my notebook, but the result remained the same: internet connected, router is up, then when I start Limewire the connection is lost, the WAN IP led on router goes off and it needs to be restarted. :(

Good news...
after spending a whole night testing, my suspects were concentrated on the USR router. Its firmware was upgraded only a few months ago, but seeing that a more recent release was available, I've tried the new upgrade and it did work at once.
After rebooting, I got immediately the Limewire connection.
So, for all U.S.Robotics users with connection problems, my suggestion is to check for new firmware releases, before wasting a good sleeping night:D
