blocked ports?

Hi, I want to know if someone can help me.
I am trying to connect to the Lime wire at University with a wireless connection, but it doesnt work. it doesnt detect the connection...

Someone told me that that happened because the university blocked certain ports. I can surf on the net very well.

I dont know if it is possible to change the port so the limewire will download using a different port. and which port should I put?
And how do i know which ports am I using or which ports are blocked.

Thanks a lot,

PepeLuis

This port test will tell you if the default port (6346) is blocked.

Here's some info on alternative ports

Check out LOTR's 3rd post for how to change the ports. Just make sure the listening port & manual port are the same & remember to apply.

Good luck:)
