Membership confusion
 
Others have the same trouble that I am having....That being Pro is not recognizing my email address. I have been through changes with my Internet service provider and email address since I registared approximately 6 months ago now. (So this is not the same address that I orginally registared under). I have been using the Basic for the past few months. But I really want to get what I paid for....as I recall I paid $40 for lifetime membership for Pro. If that is the case- that being lifetime- how can my email expire after 6 months? I am without the priveleges that I paid for and there is noone to advise other than this forum. Some one help me out, please. Am I getting what I paid for? -Meaning, have I been scammed? And I am SOL on the Pro version?

Sorry but you've been scammed. Pro costs US$18.88 for 6 months worth of upgrades & email support. There's no lifetime membership. The only place to get an official, clean version is www.limewire.com

You can contact your CC company & report this, most have a fraud section to deal with this sort of thing. Even though you paid quite a while ago, you've only just become aware that you were scammed, they might be able to organise some sort of refund for you. It's worth a try:)
