You need to read the sticky about connection problems. The first part "... check here first" has lots of info & advice about how to set up. Make sure your firewall's configured properly & don't run 2 firewalls at once.

Many firewall probs are due to internal firewalls within modems/routers. Read all the info about this & find out if your device has an internal firewall. Same for UPnP... find out if your router supports it & make sure it's enabled within the device & ticked within LW's firewall config.

i look at the sticky and everything is right but i t wont work!

You won't be able to direct connect if you're firewalled!
You said you looked at the sticky & everything is right... something is not right if you're firewalled;)

You need to go back & make sure you're only running 1 firewall and that it's configured properly. Did you look at UPnP? Does your router support it? Did you find out if there's a NAT firewall? If there is, you may have to port forward.

yeah i have a linksys and udup is supported

Well did you enable it within the router? Did you also select UPnP within LW (tools > options > advanced > firewall config. Tick use UPnP & apply)?

I'm in the same boat man I don't have a router just connected straight to the modem and I have both Windows firewall and Norton firewall completely disabled and I still have a wall infront of the globe with no connection.

I'm stumped help would be great.

You could try going to the Linskys tech support site
http://www.linksys.com/servlet/Satel...VisitorWrapper

They should be able to help you with enabling the UPnP:)

Modems can also have probs. What's the make & model of your modem?

Ok, I've just found your other post. LOTR asked you for your modem brand & model too... you never told him.
