Http Proxy probs ...the full story
 

Alright guys...

I've got net connection..which is connected on a proxy server...basically i'm on a LAN...got me?

Anyway the prob is when i FIRST set-up limewire...it connected up fine when i set up the proxy settings...and i didn't even have to mingle with the port settings...it would search fine...but when i downloaded something...it wouldn't download AT ALL..ok?

So yeah i looked up at the port settings changed them...looked at the open ports on the server the LAN's connected to...changed settings to fit the criteria...but still wouldn't be able to download...

so in frustration i closed limewire down and restarted it...and it wouldn't connect no matter what i did...until i restored the original settings and set it up again and it would connect fine again...but with the same story mentioned above...

Could u guys help me out...ive tried the port test and it DOESN'T work...meaning the 6346 or whatever port has been blocked by the main server...
