Connecting To Download A File When I click on LimeWire it loads up normally. All of the five bars load up until it is an excellent connection. However when i search for a file and click download the file says queued and then says connecting FOREVER. Instead of saying connecting, and then finally downloading from however many hosts. I've waited at least 15 min. to see if it would eventually work but it won't. This problem only recently occurred and I do not know why. I have also noticed this usually occurs with movies and other files that have a host# of around 99,100 or 101 if that is important to know. Thank you I would appreciate any help that can be given. Helpful information: I use Windows XP I have 256 MB RAM 30 GB Hard Drive still available I am on a cable connection tha gives me at least 6mbps download speed I use a Linksys router that is hard wired to my pc I use LimeWire PRO version 4.11.0 I use Java version 1.5.0_06 |

There is a bug that causes inteminable connecting which will be fixed in the beta version 4.11.2 apparently, not sure when this will be released, but WWs link may well contain the answer. This is just another possibility. |
Thanks so much wondering why and only a hobo. I am very grateful. |
Beware of files that show beyond about 10 hosts as they might be spammed fakes. ie: look further down the search results to those those show just a small collection & try those. |
