download/connection problems
 

HI..okay now first bear with me, i am someone computer literate, but basically dont have a clue about alot of the stuff, for some reason i felt it necessary to upgrade to the limewire 4.10 (not pro) i have never had a problem connecting, i connect with via cable, i do not have a firewall, but since last week when i try to download a video file all i receive is a "connecting" in the status field, occasionally it will say, waiting 297 whatever number at the time for sources, then go back to "connecting" i can download music files fine, any clues on what the problem could be? i was considering uninstalling the whole thing and reinstalling it...(cuz thats my answer for everything..lol)

Are you trying to download a new release or a really popular video? There have been a lot of new fakes around lately... new releases, heaps of sources (up to 100) per file, 4 star connections. These things will sit at 'connecting' forever. Try to download something with less than 10 sources. Vary your search terms & try the All Types search. Look up a file before download with Bitzi
