Limewire will not open at all
 

I was able to use Limewire without issues for about a year now, but I got a virus last week, and I've since cleaned my system, reinstalled the programs that got corrupted, but Limewire will not start, even if I uninstall and reinstall the program, or upgrade to the latest Beta version. Any suggestions? basically when I click on the icon, I get the hourglass for about 3 or 4 seconds, then it disappears, and nothing else happens. This is on an XP Home machine with all service packs installed.

You could also uninstall your old Java version (add/remove programs) & reinstall using the offline installer. Instructions in the link above.

If you're using any antispyware, make sure LW is on the list of exceptions/allowed apps or try disabling the antispy & see if LW opens:)
