LW still shows me behind firewall

Hi there,

I have no problem downloading and uploading... I think???

I have windows firewall turned off and my wireless router firewall turned off also but LW still shows a firewall in front of the globe...

I have a linksys wrt54g wireless broadband g router...

The reason I say I think I dont have any problem is I connect fine and feel I have no problems uploading and downloading...

I have a Sprint dsl modem w 3000/512 capabilities...

i also checked the bug report example and it shows a false on incoming session...

Should I be experiencing any problems with the firewall still showing...

Could this be preventing me from faster downloads and uploads...

Thanx
PopMal

Something is still blocking incoming: probably the router.

UPnP should be turned on in the LinkSys, or else a port mapped to a static address on your computer.

I hope one of the Windows users will help, because running a Windows machine without firewalls sounds very risky.

upnp is turned on in the router...

I've tried all the fixes mentioned in the different threads pertaining to firewalls and such...

The Linksys WRT54g has some firmware issues & doesn't work well in UPnP mode. See tips about this under UPnP here Connection problems? Check here first! (click on link)

PopMal, have you tried port forwarding?

Don't forget to set up a static IP address. There are instructions within the link:)

Make sure that your XP firewall is configured. As stief said, you shouldn't run without a firewall!
Firewall setup

Configure your firewall & then have a try with port forwarding. Let us know how it goes!
