Limewire causes connection to dropout on network

Hi, i have limewire on 2 of my computer on the network:
WinComp:
**WinXP pro sp2
LinComp:
**FedoraCore 3

The problem is everytime i open limewire(windows version) it kills my connection for everything, bittorent, irc, msn, and http on any of the computer on my network. However if i run limewire(linux version) it works fine and all service(http, msn, irc) are stil running.

This problem is really bad because while limewire(windows is running) i cannot get onto irc, msn, http or bittorrent on any computers on the network.

My network is setup using a dlink dsl g604t(4 port router, not running wireless) modem/router. each computer connect on the network using cat5 cable and have static ip.

Any help would be appreciated

thanks

Does it kill your network also or just your ability to get to the Internet

Sorry for the late reply was trying it out, the network goes slow for awhile then after about ~2 hour i came back to try it just kept laodign and loading ....soo i assume it is dead too

this is while i left limewire running for a few hours(about 2 or 3?)

Update: teh network does not die but goes really slow and hase lag(10seconds to about a 30seconds) the net however goes down and reconnects and goes down...etc

this is really annoying >.>

Edit:posted update

Just to post an update, i have uninstall limewire on the windows computer and only run limewire on linux.

i will probably use limewire in the future on windows if they fix the bug

and yes the network is running fine atm, no dropouts no lagging
