Telekom speedport w501v firewall - not letting LW through
 

Hi All
I hope someone can help.
I have a Telekom speedport w501v with firewall and although I have checked the windows firewall and know this is okaying LW, I cannot find out how to configure the adsl modem router to do the same. i am therefore getting the brick wall icon, bootom left in Limewire.

Does anyone have a fix or know how I can get around this?

Your Telekom speedport w501v doesn't have a real firewall, it is just a NAT-router which sorts incoming requests and answers to the IP addresses.

Well, since this is a product from the Deutsche Telekom, you might be able to read German and follow this link for any further questions:

Thanks for that at least I know what i amlooking for now.

Unfortunately can't read German and the translators don't do it accurate enough to allow me to follow the threads.

It appears that I need to set up the router for port forwarding and put in my PC IP address somewhere in there, but as yet have not fathomed out where.

Anyway I 'm heading in the right direction now.

Anyone familiar with this router's advanced settings?
