Default File Sharing Problems

Can anyone tell me why my computer just suddenly stopped allowing any programs from downloading. Bearshare, WInMX and Limewire, all of them don't seem to want to connect. Anyone know a reason why? And so i don't get this response, my firewall is set to allow them, i already checked that.

Who is your ISP?
Do this test & see what result you get
http://www3.limewire.com:6346

If more that one p2p app stops working, sounds like an ISP issue!

Also, do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface?

If yes, can you also tell us:

1. What firewalls you have?
2. Connection type? (eg: dialup, broadband, cable, etc.)
3. Modem & router brand name & model numbers?
4. Where are you trying to connect from (home, school, work, etc.)?
5. What version of Limewire (LW) & Java do you have? (Go to LW's menu Help>About LW...) Will show both LW & Java version.
6. Who is your isp provider (Internet Service Provider)?
7. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? If yes, please give details of set up.
8. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user.

Did the port test work? Who is your ISP?
Try to find out the model of your modem

Ouch! No wonder you can't connect. The port you're trying to connect thru is blocked. Go to LW's menu bar, Tools>Options>Advanced>Firewalls & change both the listening & connection port to one between 49152 - 65535 such as 64049.
