Five Green Bars, & A Brick Wall In Front Of Earth

I have been a Limewire user for about six years now. Great tool by the way...

For the first time, I want to be able to let users upload my content.

I have Limewire running on Mac OSX, & Windows XP, connected to a Linksys VoIP, model # RTP300 router. I have the latest versions of Limewire for both OS's. I have green bars for my connection status, and a brick wall in front of the globe for the firewall setting.

People are not downloading my files, even though they're getting hits, which leads me to believe there is a problem. Just wondering if I need to change some settings with my router? I haven't really used Limewire recently untill after I connected the two machines behind it. Before, I was using the program only on my Mac with no problems...

I'm not trying to download, I just have content that I think people would be happy to see, thanks for your time:)

The brickwall indicates that LW has detected a firewall. This could be the XP built-in firewall, a firewall in your router or any other firewall included into one of your Security programs such as Norton Security.

To find out who to configurate these firewalls please read here:

The thing is, I have no problem connecting on either machines. The link posted doesn't offer any solutions. It is possible that no one is interested in the files I'm trying to share.

Well, you said that those files of yours get hits which indicates that at least parts of the file names are included in other's search terms.

But as long as you have the brickwall in front of the small globe I doubt that the people will be able to download from you. The link I've posted for you is not only meant for download problems, it will also solve the upload issue.

Try to follow the links about configurating the router, which I believe is responsible for the brickwall (but just in case check the XP firewall as well).
