Connection problem continues whatever I do

Hi.
For my first post I would like first to say hello to all people here.

My problem is next.
I have LimeWire 4.12.3 and it worked just fine, without any problems until three days ago.
I shared my files and dl others without a minor proble, but until then I can't connect. Actually, LW tries to connect and in connection tab I've got 9 hosts and in time column time goes from 1 sec to 15 or so and then it just disappear.
I've tried everything, from FAQ's tips, help, reading all posts here and trying things from them (deleting .limewire folder, changing and adding ports for gnuttella, etc etc). I've tried do deinstall and install LW again, too. Nothing helped.
What confuses me is that everything worked well, and then it just stoped.
If anyone can help me and give me some tip, I would be much obliged.

Can you give us a total description of your set up:
1. OS version? (eg: Windows 98)
2. What firewalls you have?
3. How much ram?
4. Hard Disk space available?
5. Connection type? (eg: dialup, broadband, cable, etc.)
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers?
7. Where are you trying to connect from (home, school, work, etc.)?
8. What version of Limewire (LW) & Java do you have? (Go to LW's menu Help>About LW...) Will show both LW & Java version.
9. Who is your isp provider (Internet Service Provider)?
10. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? If yes, please give details of set up.
11. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user.
12. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there?

Mine will sometimes loose the connection and won't reconnect. I will have to shut down LW completely and restart it to get it to connect.

Also try disabling Ultrapeer capabilities. In LW go to Tools>Options>Speed, and tick "Disable Ultrapeer Capabilities", click apply. See if that helps.

Besides the advice of 6_pac, I'd recommend to update your Java. Dowbload the JRE offline installer of the newest version from here:
http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/download.jsp
You might also consider to upgrade your lW, the newest version is 4.12.4. Download the basic installer from here (also offline installer exe)):
http://www.limewire.com/
By the way, the preference folder of the 4.12.3 version is not " .limeiwre ", it's called "LimeWire" and you can find it in the hidden Application Data folder (usually here: C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator.<your computer name>\Application Data\LimeWire ).

Thanks fellas,

@ 6_pac - I've already tried disabling Ultrapeer capabilities. It didn't help a bit, as decreasing of number of downloads, too.

@ foolofthehill - I upgraded LW yesterday to v. 4.12.4. It didn't help. Same story continues.
.limeiwre was a typing error of course. Altough I believe that in 4.12.3 path was C:/Documents And Settings/your_username/.limewire, but I'll check it. I'll deinstall this version and revert to 4.12.3, to see.

What really confuse me is that my LW worked just fine until couple of days ago, and then it just broke...

This tips didn't help me, nevertheless great thanks to 6_pac & foolofthehill.
