can't connect using 1.8c

I was able to download 1.8 but now am unable to connect. I use myNapster and am able to connect without a problem.I am using Windows 98. Please help.

limewire 1.6 worked fine then i dowloaded 1.8 and a cant connect, ive tryed everything.

no connection

I have the same problem with 1.8, it will not connect. Does anybody know what is going on?
