Need Help, Cannot Connect

I cannot get on to LW. I was on the other day and now it won't let me connect at all. I have all the firewalls on all the computers on my network turned off and...no good... I'm starting to lose it.

Please help!

Has anything changed (hardware, ISP plan etc) since you were able to connect? Rather that turn off your firewall, it's better to configure it properly
Firewall setup

How did you have your router set up when LW was working... did you have UPnP enabled or were you port forwarding (or neither)? Have a look through this thread, it's got lots of info about connection problems. Do the port test & see what result you get. Do you see the firewall icon (brick wall)?
Connection problems? Check here first!

If you're still stuck, post back with your details

OS(Win XP etc)
LW & Java version (help > about LW & you'll see)
Firewall you're using
Modem/router brand & model
ISP
Connection type (DSL etc)
Where you connect from (home, school etc)
Are you sharing a connection with other computers
Is this your first try with LW

We've been having some issues with the network and the firewall blocking me from printing to the networked printer too, that could be the problem I suppose.

I did the port test and it says all is good. I see the little globe and brick wall.

OS: Win XP
LW and Java: 4.12.4 and 1.5.0_03
Firewall: McAffee and Windows
Router: Linsys
ISP:?
Type: DSL, but I'm on wireless on a network
I'm Home
Yes
No, I was on the other day and had no problems downloading

Turn off the Windows firewall, just use the McAffee. Running 2 software firewalls together isn't a good idea, they'll interfere with each other.

Are you running with UPnP enabled in your router, or port forwarding, or neither? Have a look at the link I left you earlier... it's got a lot of info about port forwarding etc. Most routers have their own internal firewall & so either enabling UPnP or (most likely) port forwarding is often needed.

What's the model of your router?
