![]() Well... I've got the brick wall to disappear (YAY) but something is still not letting anything connect on Frostwire... ![]() I wonder if it has to do with the step for the port forwarding that asks you to type "Limew1" and "Limew2" For FW would it just be "Frostw1" and "Frostw2?" At any rate, I have successfully forwarded my LW port using Manual Port Forward: 41816. ^_^; THANKS SO MUCH for your help. XD; I was pretty sure I was almsot there but somehow my lack of understanding just threw me off and I kept changing different things to try to get it to work... ![]() ![]() |

![]() gotafix, we're going to need some info ![]() What has changed since everything worked well...hardware? ISP? New software? Anything? How long have you been having the connection problem? Have you double checked your firewall config & made sure that you're only using 1 software firewall? Have you done this port test & did it work? http://www3.limewire.com:6346 What are your details? OS(Win XP etc) LW & Java version (help > about LW & you'll see) Firewall you're using Modem/router brand & model ISP Connection type (DSL etc) Where you connect from (home, school etc) Are you sharing a connection with other computers Is this your first try with LW How's your router set up? Do you have UPnP enabled or are you port forwarding (or neither)? |

![]() Thanx for reply Birdy...seems like you have been down this road b4 and had success helping others. I would be grateful if that was the case again. History: I am working on a PC with a T1 connection at my remote office. I utilize Cisco to connect to my server in corp but do not utilize this utility when accessing LW. I started by d/l'ng LW 4.12.4 and it worked right off the bat. Then about four days into it, the globe came up and would not connect when searching. I upgraded to version 6, then confirmed Gnutella ports using the customized number that was listed when walking through the process, confirmed access exception at Win Security Center - Firewall options. I am stuck...Maybe one of our jedi warrior administrators for the company (tech oriented co) messed it up and blocked it out all of a sudden? How do I check what other firewalls are blocking LW currently? I run PC / Windows XP Pro / LW4.12.6 / Cisco Pix 506 E Firewall VPN / Verizon T1 I think I now have port forwarding and UpNP enabled...neither seem to be working. Any clue? gotafix |

![]() Thanks for the detail and continued support. I did speak with an administrator behind the green curtain and he said it is against our company security policy to allow p2p. In response to your port probing, there are no green bars lit up anymore (was for a few days). How do I check to see if my port is blocked again? I am going to walk through that scenario one more time and see if I luck out. thanX, gotafix |
